Founded in 1983 and support by the Ministry of Culture, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Regional Council and the Marseilles' City Council, CNIPAL has, since 1996, been exclusively dedicated to soloists wishing to complete their preparation for a career as opera singers, or wishing to concentrate on certain roles or specific aspects of the opera repertoire.

The three modules proposed by CNIPAL have been specifically elaborated to accompany singers' careers :

- A professional placement module, lasting 10 months,

-A role preparation course, lasting one week,

- An analysis and career advice module.

Between leaving their academy and becoming a recognised singer, a specific and personalised solution, adapted to individual evolution, is therefore proposed to each course member.
CNIPAL is now a reference for French and foreign opera singers possessing limited or longer experience, looking for a professional solution to their current artistic needs in a high-level framework.
